Fishing

The fishing lake has several islands and many varied features, giving anglers of all abilities the opportunity to catch using a variety of methods. Children can catch small fish quite easily; however larger carp can be a much more challenging proposition for the more experienced angler! The lake contains specimen Bream, Carp, Barbel, Chubb, Tench, Roach and Rudd. There are 40 pegs, 2 with disabled access.

Angling charges

Before beginning to fish, anglers must purchase a day ticket from the lakeside ticket machine. It costs £6/angler/day for 1 rod and £8/angler/day for 2 rods – the machine takes £1 and £2 pound coins. Alternatively, they can collect their online purchased Fishing Stay Permit from reception upon arrival.

Stay Permits for the length of your stay may be purchased when booking pitches  & cost £6/day/angler for fishing with 2 rods, a discount of £2/day.

Please make sure that you have an Environment Agency rod licence, as their bailiffs periodically check anglers.
